It has variously been described as “the study of subjective experience through the use of a set of concepts and tools designed and empirically proven to increase personal effectiveness” or as “the gateway to the reprogramming of the mind and the key to the difference that makes the difference” or simply as “the study of excellence and how to reproduce it”.

It is about the mind and how we think; it’s about how we process information and communicate; and it’s about how we address/fine-tune our patterns of thought/reactions/behaviour/emotion. Identifying and adjusting aspects of these can lead to significant positive impact on confidence, performance and productivity by developing effective learning skills and coping strategies.

Having a positive mindset is a key component of optimum performance. It is one of the fundamental tenets of NLP and underpins its methodology and its aim is to get you into the right frame of mind to know how to achieve your goals and get results.

It is understanding how people organise their thinking, feelings, language and behaviour to produce the results they do. We can use it as a way to model the success of others – for personal development and for success in business. NLP is “the art and science of communication” and that the key to success is “meaningful and successful personal interaction between people”.
